About our Pads
Nkashi Reusable Pads is proudly based in Zambia, where we are committed to making a positive impact on menstrual hygiene and education.
Our Pads are high-quality, reusable cloth sanitary pads made in Zambia. They are more comfortable than disposable pads and can be worn for longer with no odour and fewer menstrual cramps due to the absence of toxic chemicals. They are leak-free, easy to wash and come with a quality guarantee of 5 years.
Benefits of using cloth pads
Driven by a mission Our pads are designed to cater to the needs of girls and women from diverse backgrounds.
We collaborate with corporate sponsors, individuals, and non-profit organisations through the Nkashi Pads Foundation to supply reusable sanitary pads at no cost to underprivileged schoolgirls.
We aspire to create a world where waste from sanitary pads is eliminated. We strive to offer affordable, sustainable, and eco-friendly alternatives to every woman.
Care and Cleaning
Reusable Pads: Easy to clean, reusable pads can be simply tossed into a wet bag and stored until wash day to be soaked and then washed and dried along with laundry you’re already doing.
On-the-Go
Reusable Pads: Travelling with reusable pads is hassle-free. You can easily pack them in a wet bag or pouch for convenience. No need to rinse; just pop soiled pads back into the wet bag and transport home to wash.
The name “Nkashi” draws its inspiration from the Bemba language, spoken in Zambia. In Bemba, “nkashi” means “woman” or “girl”. By choosing this name, we honour the strength, resilience, and dignity of women and girls who benefit from our reusable pads. It reflects our commitment to empowering them throughout their menstrual journey
